Baker's one bowl brownies

Here's a vintage chocolate brownie recipe from the 1990s!

Ingredients

  • 4 squares Baker's unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup (1-1/2 sticks) butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1-1/2 cups chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 F (325 F for glass baking dish).
  2. Microwave chocolate and margarine in large microwavable bowl on HIGH for 1-2 minutes or until butter or margarine is melted.
  3. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted.
  4. Stir sugar into chocolate until well blended.
  5. Mix in eggs and vanilla.
  6. Stir in flour and walnuts until well blended.
  7. Spread in greased 13- by 9-inch baking pan.
  8. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. DO NOT OVERBAKE.
  9. Cool in pan.
  10. When cool, cut into squares.
